Wetting Agents

Wetting agents reduce the surface tension of water. This allows it to penetrate the soil more effectively. Water can then be held in the soil longer and in greater quantities and made available to the plant, meaning that whilst an untreated lawn will dry and wither, a treated lawn will stay greener for longer. 

We can use this as part of the treatment for a dry patch when a lawn has become hydrophobic (water repelling).
